NewspaperDirect announces PressDisplay.com for the new IREX DR800SG
Users of the latest wireless eReader from IREX Technologies are able to access over 1,100 newspapers and magazines from around the world the moment they are published.
Vancouver, Canada, Sept 23, 2009: — NewspaperDirect Inc., the world leader in multi-channel newspaper and magazine content distribution and monetization, announces that PressDisplay.com, the largest online newspaper and magazine kiosk in the world, will be available on the newest wireless eReader to hit the market – the IREX DR800SG, unveiled today in New York.
 Available in October 2009 at Best Buy and the Barnes & Noble, the new sleek, 8.1-inch, touch-screen DR800SG will offer multi-mode 3G wireless capabilities and instant access to PressDisplay.com’s 1,100+ full content digital replicas through the Verizon Wireless network.
NewspaperDirect was an early partner of IREX Technologies, announcing in 2008, PressReader for the IREX 1000 series. PressReader is a software application that comes pre-installed on the devices, allowing users to download PressDisplay.com’s publications to the digital reader, to read at their leisure.
The DR800SG provides all same the PressReader functionality as the 1000 series, plus full access to the online PressDisplay.com aggregated publication service.
The IREX DR800SG boasts the most advanced eReader technology available today, and is considered far superior to the existing eReaders on the market. Unlike the Amazon Kindle which uses RSS feeds to access limited website content (and less than 50 newspapers and magazines), the IREX offers readers access to all that PressDisplay.com has to offer.
