David Owen, digital publishing pioneer, joins world leader in digital newspaper delivery
Vancouver, Canada, June 7, 2005—NewspaperDirect is pleased to announce that it has appointed Mr. David Owen as Vice President, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). Based in London, Mr. Owen will run the new ND EMEA office and will be responsible for managing the Company's rapidly growing business in the region.
 David's unique expertise in digital publishing stems from his role as Newspaper publishing Director at Xerox Corporation, whom he joined after an 18-year term at Guardian Newspapers Ltd. in the UK. During his time there he pioneered the use of digital newspaper distribution as part of a multi channel approach to daily newspaper production and distribution. More recently, David was the Global Circulation Business Manager at Atex Media Corporation, a leading software provider to the publishing industry. David has spoken at industry conferences and events around the world, and is widely known as an industry expert and writer in both digital and traditional newspaper publishing.
